Dawn on the South Downs'

Over the south soft rolling hills of the South Downs,

Horizon wears beauty, as Royalty wear crowns,

As water-weak Sun streaks the pink-red morning skies,

In the far past distance, a cold Autumn night dies.

Dawn's final destination of awakening,

As each tiny flower's head its sleep forsaking,

Heralding in beauty of a soundless chorus,

Exposing now such magnificence before us.

Behold! the coming of a brand new day's glory,

Telling of an awesome and magical story

For on the crest of our God's own given power

We now stand strong together: A mighty Tower

A shining new day! And a glorious new Earth,

Born in magnificent glory, for all God's worth.
